Corporate
Philanthropy.
An open letter from the Chairman and Chief Executive of www.manjothi.com.
To the viewers of this page,
Since the turn of the new millennium, www.manjothi.com's corporate operations
and employees have committed their innovative energies and resources to
charitable organisations and the surrounding communities.
The company's commitment was further strengthened in 2001 with the formation
of the www.manjothi.com foundation whose primary responsibility is to
give something back to the community that supports it. We at www.manjothi.com
believe that the world is not just about the rich and the poor, about
making money and driving fast cars, but for all those who live in it and
a better quality of life for each of them.
To this end the company has made a firm commitment, that a percentage
of all it's future post tax profits will be given to charity, and we will
keep you updated to it's progress on this page.
Furthermore the Foundation has made it's first community commitment of
an annual prize for Business and E-commerce studies at Kettlethorpe High
School in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK where I as Chairman and Chief
Executive once studied.
It is an annual prize of a trophy and a cash prize which is awarded to
2 final year students (age 16) who have excelled top of their class in
Business and E-commerce.
Last year's event took place on the 22nd November 2001, and was a very
enjoyable evening for all who attended.
Pictures of the event and of the winners can be seen here.
The future of the e-business and e-commerce industry is in the hands of
the children of today, and their children of tomorrow, so we should take
this opportunity to nurture and harness this talent. Who knows, the next
Bill Gates could be last year's or this year's winner of the www.manjothi.com
prize.
Yours faithfully,
Ashif Manjothi
Chairman and Chief Executive.
